Feb. 4, The Potluck and the Passion (1993), Cheryl Dunye

To celebrate their first anniversary, a Black lesbian couple host a potluck dinner, inviting friends from different parts of their lives in the hope of creating a warm and generous gathering.

What begins as a simple act of hospitality soon becomes more complicated, as tensions around race, class, desire and belonging quietly come to the surface.
